Hair Before Installation

9:04 PM

My natural hair journey started on January 24, 2009 when I did my "Big Chop", and trust me when I say that was a journey of itself. Managing my natural hair was super easy in the beginning, but as my hair grew longer, the time it took to maintain it grew longer as well. I was spending to much time on my hair and that wasn't cool. I knew at one point in my life I would be locking my hair, and finding out about sisterlocks was the solution to the maintance hog of my natural hair. So I kept looking for a consultant, researched sisterlocks for about 2 years, before taking the plunge. My installation date is schedule for August 18, 2009 with Karen. I’m so happy :).

  3. Hi Kreyola, I will be getting my sisterlocks installed in about 2 weeks...yeaahhhhh! I was wondering about exercising with new sisterlocks. I sweat a lot and was concerned if slippage would be a real issue. What do you think?

    1. Yay!!!!! Welcome to the Sisterlocks Fam. When my locks were newbies, I had to do cornrows and tie a bandanna around my nape and temple which help soak up the sweat and reduce the slippage and unraveling of my locks. If you do those two, you will be fine :D.
